You need a red necklace!
You need a red necklace! I'm telling you ... it's all I keep thinking about.
I have to make more red necklaces. I can hardly sleep! I have this at the moment (last one). Rest assured, I have some Sponge Coral that I will
put to good use within the next few days. Just had to get that off my chest.

Jewelry Staples - A "Must Have" for Every Woman's Jewelry Collection
A jewelry box is like a closet. It should contain a well devised collection
of jewelry - added to over time, of course - and built upon certain principles.
The delicate chain necklace, with a solitaire pendant, is
like the little black dress of the jewelry box. Every woman needs at least one - and probably a couple more, You never
know when you're going to need it. And you'll wear it over and over, and almost always choose it over the trendy jewelry you
pick up to go with outfits.
If you have a diamond solitaire pendant (or CZ), a pearl, and another gemstone
or two, on delicate chains, you'll always have something to put on for those occasions.
Here's an updated Classic (This is a gorgeous, naturally formed freshwater pearl - dressed
up by a Swarovski Crystal embellished rondell. I can't wait to make more of these using gemstones ... I will be adding to
the category soon...)

Thinking Spring, 2008!
I love the way you will be able to do anything with your look this Spring!
I am seeing a wonderful mix of neutrals in the clothing, offset by fabulous pastels, and just the right number of "pop"
colors - (the perfect combination for jewelry!)
Vintage will be huge, which I love. And layers of billowy fabrics.
Lots of hats and belts and covered buttons,
and of course jewelry!
Can't wait!

A Thought on Being Counter-Intuitive with your Jewelry
We all think we know what jewelry we should wear, and what jewelry looks
best on us, but, we shouldn't restrict ourselves!
I love the jewelry party atmosphere for experimentation. I can't tell you how many times someone
picks up a pair of earrings, and they're just wrong. Wrong color, wrong shape... They go through all the earrings, over and
over, and they keep picking the same types that they always pick.
Sometimes all it takes is the fresh eye of someone else - a friend, often times - in
such a relaxed atmosphere as a jewelry party, to say "hey, try these", and they're perfect! Something she never would have tried alone!
(By the way this just doesn't happen at a department store...)
All I'm saying is; don't limit yourself to your "style" of jewelry. Try unexpected things,
and listen to others. You might be surprised!

Yes, ...I am slow
As you can see, there are posts to this blog that go back to August...
Ahem.
Well - in my website/host infrastructure, there's always been the option to "post to blog".
Nevermind that the "post" just disappeared. Finally, I called them, and, they told me how to put it on the site. So, here
it is. My little page to vent, for all those who are interested, or with too much time on their hands...

Am I a Jewelry Junkie?
Don’t take offense if I
almost knock you over on the street, grab your necklace in my hand and study it from 2 inches away.
I can’t help it! I have
to see how it’s made, what it’s made of, how much it weighs, how cold the stones are...
Don’t worry, I will not
take it. I won't even copy it.
I just have to look, until
I've seen enough. It's not personal...
Am I a jewelry junkie?
